Pre - School

Welcome to Bassingham Pre-School

Thank you for visiting our website.

We hope that you will get an overview of what our Pre-School can offer but the best way to find out about us is to come and visit. We have more details in our Information pack, so contact us if you would like one.

The Pre-School was established over 40 years ago and is registered with Ofsted for 24 children per session. Our last inspection was in September 2008, when our care was judged to be ‘Good’ (provision is strong) in all aspects.

We are now relocating to our own purpose built building within the Primary School.  This is very exciting for all the children.  We also will be offering wrap around care and holiday clubs for children aged 3 to 11. If you are inerested in your child attending the TREE TOPS CLUB, please contact Mellissa Bolton Manager on 01522 789492

We are a charity organisation run by an active committee who are dedicated to offering our children the best facilities possible, allowing them to achieve their full potential both educationally and personally.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and strongly believe that children of pre-school age learn through well planned and structured play activities. We recognise that every child is different, with varying skills and abilities and therefore treat them all as individuals, working in partnership with parents to enable this to happen.

We work very closely with the Primary School Reception class, often joining together for activities throughout the year. We believe this is a very important aspect of our  Pre-School, as it helps create a happier, more confident transition into ‘Big School’ for each child.

The children are involved in activities throughout the year, coffee mornings, Christmas activities, Easter Fayre, summer outing and many more. All of these contribute to the fundraising needed to run the Pre-School.

The main aim of our Pre-School is to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment to enable children to learn about themselves, other people and the world around them, through play.
